APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The CICS TS 5.5 program translators modify DFHEITAB.  If the
    MVS REFRPROT option is in effect DFHEITAB is loaded into key 00
    storage (subpool 252).  This results in a program check when
    the attempt to modify DFHEITAB is made.
    

Local fix

  • Use the MVS command SETPROG NOREFRPROT to turn off the REFRPROT
    option.

    *                      into DFHEITAB or DFHEITBS storage.      *

    The CICS translator is being run in an LPAR which has
    REFRPROT protection set on, and suffers either:
    - ABEND=S000 U0101 REASON=00000000, or
    - SYSTEM COMPLETION CODE=0C4  REASON CODE=00000004
    when DFHEXMOD tries to modify load module DFHEITAB or DFHEITBS
    which are in write-protected storage.

Problem conclusion

  • Load modules DFHEITAB and DFHEITBS are now link-edited with
    REUS(NONE). They are now loaded into read/write storage.
