PH09440: TOR/DOR USING IDF FOR LOAD BALANCING/ROUTING CAPABILITY

APAR status

Error description

• Have the equivalent of CICS terminal owning
  regions (TOR) and data owning regions (DOR) using IDF.
  In the DVM acting as a TOR, we do the following:
  # Define 2 or more PEER IDF servers having identical tables like
  STAFFVS
  # Create VT-s in the TOR from all peers using default naming
  (ex. SDBL_STAFFVS and VDBF_STAFFVS)
  # Create a global variable GLOBAL1.DVSIDFRR containing the PEER
  names as comma delimited values (ex. SDBL,VDBF)
  # Enable VTB rule DVSIDFRR
  To round robin querying STAFFVS from SDBL and VDBF, issue the
  following query
  SELECT * FROM IDFRR_STAFFVS;
  The rule replaces IDFRR with the first PEER name in the list and
  moves that name to the end of the list.
