Error description
New plugin configuration copies the etc/plugin-key.rdb file unnecessarily.
Local fix
Removing plugin-key.rdb from plugin-home/config/webserver1 folder.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: plugin-key.rdb is copyied * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a new plugin install is configured through the Plugin Configuration Tool, one step is to copy the etc/plugin-key.rdb to the newly configured area. This file can cause gskit 420 errors if kdb stash is changed and propagated to the remote plugin configuration location. The rdb file isn't necessary and is generated for new certificate requests.
Problem conclusion
The Plugin Configuration Process has been altered to not copy the etc/plugin-key.rdb file. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.16 & 9.0.5.0.
