  When a Web services EJB application is updated in Rational
  Application Developer (RAD) or Eclipse with WebSphere
  Application Server Developer Tools (WDT), the following
  NullPointerException occurs:

Problem conclusion

• The NullPointerException occurred during automatic restart
  of
  the application because some Aixs2 configuration which is
  required to start the application was not setup correctly.
  The
  problem was fixed by correctly reloading all the Axis2
  configuration when the application is restarted.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.17 and 9.0.5.2.  Please refer to the
