Error description

  • When using CM Batch or Compare to add a new column to a table

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Altering to add a new column to the end of the table and create
    a new index that refers to this new column currently results in
    an Alter in the forward path of Analyze. The Recover path,
    however, uses Unload Drop Create Load, when an Alter would
    have been sufficient.

    With this fix applied, the forward path of Analyze and the
    Recover path will be the same: If the change is to add a new
    column to the end of the table and create a new index that
    refers to this column, the change statements will use Alter
    to add this column. If the change is being recovered, then
    the reverse statements will use Alter to drop the column
    from the table.
