Error description

• This APAR addresses the following problems:
  
  1) During Compare Processing in Batch, Optim does not support
  GDG dataset name without single quotes. Also, the Compare
  Processing report in Batch, does not print the absolute name
  if the Source-1 or Source-2 Extract file is a Generation dataset
  
  2) Incorrect handling of the Compare File DSN on the "Specify
  COMPARE Parameters and Execute" ISPF panel.
  
  3) IMS-Internal System error as "NumLChild < NumExtDBD" during
  rename/create of a Retrieval Definition using an Index DBD.

  1) During Compare Processing in Batch, Optim does not support
  GDG dataset name without single quotes. Also, the Compare
  Processing report in Batch, does not print the absolute name
  if the Source-1 or Source-2 Extract file is a Generation
  dataset. This is inconsistent with the execution in ISPF mode.
  
  2) In Optim ISPF mode, the Compare file name is not retained
  if it is specified without single quotes (with or without a
  dataset prefix in User Options). Optim replaces an
  unqualified dataset name with a fully qualified dataset name
  within single quotes. This affects the re-usability of a saved
  Compare definition by a different user.
  
  3) Optim generates an internal system error when the user tried
  to create/rename a Retrieval Definition using an Index DBD.
  Creation/usage of Retrieval definition for Index DBD is not
  supported by Optim.
  

Problem conclusion

• Optim processing has been corrected to handle the above
  mentioned scenarios.
