Error description

  • Message
BAQR1132E: Relative path {xxx} is not defined in API requester
    {yyy}.
is received when 2 API requester archive (.ara) files with the
same API requester name are placed in the server's
    /resources/zosconnect/apiRequesters directory. This is the
    expected behavior.

If one of these ARA files is updated (eg. using 'touch' against
the zFS file or reuploading) without first deleting the file
    from the server's /resources/zosconnect/apiRequesters
directory, the update will complete without any checking for
duplicate API requesters and without message BAQR1132E being
    issued.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of z/OS Connect EE V3. *
    ****************************************************************
When an .ara file was updated on the file system, z/OS Connect
EE did not check whether the updated .ara file was a duplicate
of an API requester already loaded into the z/OS Connect EE
server's memory. This resulted in the API requester in the z/OS
Connect EE server's memory being corrupted.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

Comments

  • z/OS Connect EE has been changed to remove an ARA file from the
    server's /resources/zosconnect/apiRequesters directory (or the
directory defined by the zosconnect_apiRequesters location
parameter) if the .ara file cannot be loaded due to to the
reported duplicate path definition. z/OS Connect EE will also
only update API requesters if the path has not changed.

The fix for this APAR is expected to be delivered by the PTF for
    z/OS Connect EE V3.0.21.0 (PH11043).
