    ****************************************************************
When using WebSphere Optimized Local adapters and connecting to
CICS 5.5 the message "The current CICS level 0505 is not
supported" is printed in the CICS joblog. The message may be
prefixed by the string "WOLA TRACE 0" or "CWWKB8000I" depending
on whether or not the WOLA message catalog is configured in
CICS. Processing in CICS will continue using the WOLA libraries
that were linked against CICS TS 5.4. It is recommended that
you apply this APAR to ensure compatibility with CICS TS 5.5.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

  • Most applications will continue to run despite the message
indicating that the version of CICS is not supported. However
it is recommended that you install this APAR to ensure
    compatibility.
