  • Application program issues multiple EXEC CICS SPOOLREAD
    commands.
    Trace shows :

    JES log shows SYSTEM COMPLETION CODE=0C1  REASON CODE=00000001
    System trace shows the abend occurs when running in AMODE(24).

    However, prior to this, DFHSKE (0F2ED87C) was AMODE31.

    We appear to have flipped into AMODE(24) and lost addressability
    of the module DFHSKE.

    A CICS application has issued an EXEC CICS SPOOLREAD to read a
    file off of the spool but the command fails with an APSW abend.
    No CICS dump is produced but the CICS Joblog shows an 0C1 or an
    0C6 abend.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHPSPSS has been changed to ensure the correct address  is used
    on the GENCB macro instruction for the EODAD parameter.
