  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The following defects are being         *
  *                      corrected with this APAR:               *
  *                      1. RESTART/RETRY processing of EXTRACT  *
  *                      and ARCHIVE files, ISPF and BATCH.      *
  *                      2. EXT_TO_ARC processing of TAPE files. *
  *                      3. INSERT processing of TAPE files.     *
  *                      4. COMPARE processing of tape FILES.    *
  *                      5. Retention date not set for ARCHIVE   *
  *                      files online.                           *
  *                      6 Incorrect message processing SUBSET   *
  *                      files.                                  *
  *                      7. Retention date may be applied to     *
  *                      EXTRACT files when Retention Period has *
  *                      been specified in Site Options for      *
  *                      ARCHIVE files.                          *

  This APAR resolves defects discovered during product
  development.
  
  1. RESTART/RETRY processing of EXTRACT and
  ARCHIVE files, ISPF and BATCH returns errors for
  files located on TAPE (invalid or empty file)
  and fails or abends S0C4 while executing in BATCH.
  2. EXT_TO_ARC function has never been enabled for source EXTRACT
  file on TAPE processing. Also never implemented: destination
  ARCHIVE file
  on TAPE. Added missing support.
  3. When an EXTRACT file, originally created on DISK, gets copied
  to TAPE and imported for processing and used in an INSERT
  operation, and the user requested that all rows be deleted from
  the affected tables prior to INSERT, the operation may fail with
  the "There Are No Eligible Rows In Any Tables Marked For Delete
  After Archive" message.
  4. COMPAREfunction has never been enabled for source EXTRACT
  file(s) on TAPE processing. Added missing support.
  5. The Retention date is not being set for ARCHIVE
  files created online.
  6 Incorrect message is being issued when a RACF protected
  SUBSET file is being used during RESTORE or SUBSET process.
  7. Retention date may be applied to EXTRACT files when Retention
  Period has been specified in Site Options for ARCHIVE files.
  

Problem conclusion

• The above defects have been resolved.
