Error description

  • If two -Xoptionsfile statements are set into a JVMOPMAS PROCLIB
member being used by a MPP with JVM message region, only the
content of the second statement is showed in the JOBLOG
    (SYSPRINT DD) of the MPP.
The JVM options set in the first option file are not listed in
the SYSPRINT. In the following example:

    .
    -Xoptionsfile=/PRODOTTI/ims/java/q8i0.jvm.options

    -Xoptionsfile=/PRODOTTI/ims/java/q8i0.jvm.classpath

    .
The SYSPRINT section of the MPP JOBLOG will only show the
content pointed by the second statement: xxx.jvm.classpath .
It's only a problem of messages, both statements options are
    correctly read and processed.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR ensures that all Xoptions properties which are
specified across various Xoptions Files are shown in SYSPRINT.
Also as part of this APAR we have enhanced DFSJVM00/DFSJVM64 to
print exception and stack trace information to 'STDERR DD' in
the event that the users application throws an unhandled
exception out of the main method. Previously DFSJVM00/DFSJVM64
would only display the exception text without the stack trace
    information.
