    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    WebSphere Application Server does not properly handle an
    exception returned from the JDBC 4.1 connection abort method.
    This could lead to a leak of the connections to the database,
    where the connections are removed from the WebSphere
    Application Server connection pool but not closed.

Problem conclusion

  • The code was updated to properly handle an exception returned
    from a call to abort.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    WebSphere Application Server 9.0.5.0 and WebSphere Liberty
    fix pack 19.0.0.2. Please refer to the Recommended
