IEF210I CIUUDB4 STEP030 SORTOUT - UNIT FIELD SPECIFIES INCORRECT
DEVICE NAME.

Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Interdependency Analyzer users that *
*                 are collecting command flow information to a *
*                 DB2 UDB database.                            *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A user runs job CIUUDB4 to format       *
*                      collected CICS IA command flow data     *
*                      into a CSV file for loading into DB2    *
*                      UDB database. The user may experience a *
*                      JCL error in STEP30 or STEP31 of job    *
*                      CIUUDB4.                                *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF.                               *

Job CIUUDB4 has a LRECL=0 coded in the DCB for the SORTOUT DD in
job steps STEP30 and STEP31. This may cause a JCL error at some
customer sites.

Problem conclusion

  • Sample job CIUUDB4 is updated to specify a valid LRECL value for
the SORTOUT data set created in STEP30 and STEP31.
