Error description

  • +DFHAM4938 W  xxx BUNDLE xxx has been installed as disabled
    because one or more of its associated resources failed to
    install.
    The jsbind is created at Mapping Level 4.1 and this requires
    APAR PI67641 to be installed for it to be processed.
    But no message is output to help diagnose this issue.
    So to improve the diagnostics ensuring an ERROR is output
    and an exception trace point is created as well.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When installing a JSBIND file with a    *
    *                      mapping level which the system can not  *
    *                      support, no useful messages are output  *
    *                      to explain the reason for the failure.  *
    ****************************************************************
    Installing a JSBIND file with a mapping level that is not
    supported by the system results in an exception. Message
    DFHAM4938 is issued to state the bundle has been installed as
    DISABLED. However no messages are produced to tell the user that
    the reason for the failure is an unsupported runtime level.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been added to issue message DFHML0605 if an unsupported
    runtime level is detected.
