PH06125: DB2 ADMIN TOOL - CATALOG COPY, GENERATED DDL DOES NOT QUALIFY LOB TABLES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Creation of LOB tables are not qualified so they are created
  under the current SQLID instead of in the catalog copy schema.
  Later this may lead to SQLCODE -204 / SQLCODEN204 when creating
  an index as the table name is qualified the catalog copy schema.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Using Admin 11.2 Catalog Copy job       *
  *                      fails with:                             *

  *                      1- The DDL statements to define the     *
  *                         catalog copy fails when creating     *
  *                         indexes on the auxiliary table       *
  *                         with SQLCODE=-204 / SQLCODEN204.     *

  *                      2- DB2 UNLOAD does not create SYSPUNCH  *
  *                         data sets when the history table     *
  *                         has not been defined. That causes    *
  *                         a JCL error in the CONVERT step.     *

  *                      Using Admin 12.1 GEN command on a       *
  *                      table with LOB column, the CREATE       *
  *                      AUX TABLE is not proceeded with         *
  *                      a SET CURRENT SCHEMA statement.         *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  When running Catalog Copy jobs using Admin 11.2 on a Db2 12
  system in before new function activation (BNFA) the following
  issue are corrected:
  
  1- CREATE AUX TABLE is not proceeded with a SET CURRENT SCHEMA
     statement.
  2- The CC unload steps attempts to unload the history tables
     although they have not yet been defined when running in
     Db2 12 BNFA.
  
  When running GEN using Admin 12.1 on a table with LOB column,
  the CREATE AUX TABLE is not proceeded with a SET CURRENT SCHEMA
  statement.
  

Problem conclusion
