Error description

  • You are experiencing high volumes of IPIC traffic, and after
examining the CICS internal trace, you've found some suspicious
trace entries with unusually high TRANSFER_COUNT fields, such
    as the following:
    .
    SO 0802 SOSE EXIT - FUNCTION(SECURE_SOC_WRITE) RESPONSE(OK)
      GSK_RETURN_CODE(0) >>>>>> TRANSFER_COUNT(63906730) <<<<<<
    .
Starting with TS 5.4, CICS supports 64-bit Socket Send and
Receive. The value for the TRANSFER_COUNT was stored in the
low 31 bits, and the high bits were not cleared. Later when
this value was used, the high 31 bits were used for the count,
truncating the low bits. This led to the odd transfer count
    values.
