PH05295: SEARCH RETURNING INCOMPLETE RESULTS AFTER CONTENT STORE UPGRADE

Error description

  • Client's reports have a specific value in their filters, when
    the client searches for this value the report doesn't show up.
    However, after going into the report, making a change, and
    saving it, report will now show up in search when searching for
    the value.
    As well, searching for the name of the report before making any
    changes will return the report.
    

Local fix

  • When importing the deployment, the default option is to keep
    report specs the same, if we keep this option checked, the
    report will not show up in search when searching for the
    specific value in its filter.
    If we check the option to upgrade report specs when doing the
    import, the report will show up in search.
    Upgrading reports by going into Cognos Admin Console >
    Configuration > Content Administration > New Content Maintenance
    > Report Upgrade, and selecting the packages and locations for
    which to upgrade report specs to the latest version also solves
    the issue.
