Error description
When performing a build using the IBM Rational ClearCase "clearmake" tool, attempting to use SUN make emulation on Linux will fail with a "file not found" error looking for /usr/include/make/default.mk, which does not exist on a Linux host. According to the clearmake man page, this is not the location that clearmake should default to: | * If you specify -r, clearmake reads | ccase-home-dir/etc/sunvars.mk. | * If you do not specify -r, clearmake reads | ccase-home-dir/etc/sunvars.mk and | ccase-home-dir/etc/sunbuiltin.mk.
Local fix
Option 1) Create a directory named /usr/share/lib/make; Create a link named "make.rules" in that directory pointing back to ccase-home-dir/etc/sunbuiltin.mk. Option 2) Create a directory named /usr/include/make; Create a link named default.mk in that directory pointing back to ccase-home-dir/etc/sunbuiltin.mk. Option 3) Create an empty file named "default.mk" in the current directory.
