Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the Db2 Administration and Object * * Comparison Tool for z/OS who have applied * * PTFs UI58930 or UI58931. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR will resolve the fix that * * was not implemented after applying * * PTFs UI58930 or UI58931. * * * * 1. Alter table (ALT) operation on an * * accelerator shadow table that is * * enabled for replication, results in * * shadow table left in incorrect status. * * * * 2. ALT operation does not detect and * * preserve correct replication status * * of accelerator shadow table. * * * * 3. Compare process (DDL vs Catalog) * * against an accelerator shadow table * * started for acceleration and * * replication does not generate * * statements for the same. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** This APAR will resolve the fix that was not implemented after applying PTFs UI58930 or UI58931. 1. Alter table (ALT) operation on an accelerator shadow table that is enabled for replication, results in shadow table left in below incorrect statuses (assuming corresponding global change parameters are enabled on panel ADB2PCO "Options for Change Functions"). Incorrect result: Acceleration=disabled, Load=Initial Load pending, Replication=Unavailable Correct result: Acceleration=enabled, Load=Replication In Progress, Replication=enabled 2. ALT operation does not detect and preserve correct replication status of accelerator shadow table. This APAR adds a fix to preserve replication information (before recreate) and enable replication only for tables that were previously enabled. Warning will be issued if there are tables in the list that are not eligible for replication. Panel ADBPZAK 'Accelerated Table - Keys' will display below additional status fields: Acceleration status, Load status, Replication status and Replication Details. 3. Compare process (DDL vs Catalog) against an accelerator shadow table started for acceleration and replication does not generate statements for the same.
Problem conclusion
The problems have been resolved. This is the fixer for PTFs UI58930 and UI58931. Please refer to those PTFs for additional closing text for APARs included with those deliveries.
