Error description
When using a Powercube with a cube password, but no sign-on definition, the user is prompted to enter the cube password. This is the case for example for Analysis Studio, Powerplay Client and Report Studio. When same package is used in a dashboard, then the user is not prompted and receives the following error message: The metadata for '<cube name>' did not load. Please contact your administrator for details. Also the XQE log file protocols a corresponding error.
Local fix
Define a sign-on for the cube password. Apply additional security to it or the data source to grant or deny access for users/ groups/ roles as per your needs. Or replace cube password and apply security definitions using custom views.
