Error description

• After applying IMS V15 APAR PI83450, Library Integrity Checker
  abends in IMS HP Image Copy concurrent image copy (CIC) process.
   Because IMS HP Image Copy does not reflect the SVC number which
   defines in DFSIDEF0 on the control block.

  IMS HP Image Copy terminates with system ABEND FFE ( ABENDFFE )
  in IMS V15 environment when the following conditions are met.
  - IMS version 15 APAR PI83450 is applied.
  - Customized type 2 supervisor call (SVC) number is used.
  - Integrity Checker of IMS Library Integrity Utilities (LIU) is
    activated.
  - Batch Image Copy (IC) with FALLBACK=Y or Concurrent Image
    Copy (CIC) is requested.
  - Processed database are full function databases except for
    HALDBs.
  
  By IMS APAR PI83450, type 2 SVC number can be defined in the
  IMS Installation Defaults module (DFSIDEF0) for Batch, DB/DC,
  DBCTL and DCCTL systems. IMS HP Image Copy does not refer the
  type 2 SVC number in DEFIDEF0 and it does not apply the correct
  number in the IMS control block. As the result, the default
  type 2 SVC number 254 ( X'FE') is used in the IMS process and
  the JOB gets the system abend FFE.
  

Problem conclusion

• IMS HP Image Copy checks type 2 SVC number field in DFSIDEF0.
  When the type 2 SVC number is defined in the field, IMS HP
  Image Copy reflects it in the IMS control block.
  
  New message FABJ3974E ( MSGFABJ3974E ) and FABJ3943E
  ( MSGFABJ3943E ) have been added by this APAR.
