    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Enhance CICS Configuration Manager for *
    *                      z/OS to provide exit program            *
    * processing when a new GROUP is created *
    *                      on a CSD.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    Defining a CICS resource can result in the creation of a new
    GROUP. The new GROUP may need to be added to a CSD LIST and this
    APAR provides a means of automating this via a GROUP creation
    exit program.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS Configuration Manager v5.4 is enhanced to provide exit
    program processing when a new GROUP is created on a CSD.
    New SCCVSAMP sample CCVXRG$ documents how the exit program
    CCVXRGP is implemented. The CCVXRGP exit program sample combines
    with other samples to illustrate how the new GROUP can be added
    to a CSD LIST, and added to a change package.

     Note: The new CSD GROUP creation exit program is implemented
           using the fixed program name CCVXRGP. The exit point is
           not integrated with the dynamic CICS Configuration
           Manager exit points (i.e. ISPF option 1.7 Administer,
           Exits) at this time.
