PH03691: ISSUE A MESSAGE WHEN THE CICS LOG NAME IS MODIFIED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• DFHRS2112 log messages are issued when log name mismatches are
  detected. However, it can be difficult to work out the root
  cause of the mismatch. To assist with diagnosis of mismatches
  this APAR adds new messages to report the log names when
  they are modified.

  DFHRS2112 reports a log name mismatch detected when acquiring an
  IRC or LU62 connection. It can be difficult to determine the
  sequence of events that caused the mismatch.
  
  This APAR aids diagnosis of mismatches by issuing new messages
  when log names are changed.
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS is changed to issue the following new messages:
  1. DFHRM0240 is issued during CICS initialisation to report the
  local log name.
  2. DFHRM0241 is issued when a remote log name is set or updated
  for an IRC or APPC connection to a remote system.
  3. DFHRM0242 is issued when a remote log name is deleted for an
  IRC or APPC connection to a remote system.
  
  The CICS Transaction Server Documentation will be updated to
  include descriptions of the new messages as follows:
  
  DFHRM0240 <applid> Local log name is <logname>.

  The local log name is <logname>.
  This log name is used when establishing a connection to a remote
  system.
