APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A program is issuing a start to a remote system over IPIC. The
START has SYSID and FROM(data) in temp storage(in remote CICS
region). Then the program issues a DELETEQ TS for the same
FROM data (in remote CICS region).

The program will successfully run if a syncpoint is included
between the START and DELETE. The DELETEQ runs as CSM3 in the
remote region. The transaction (CSM2) in the remote region
    abends IS0002 and AITJ.

It would appear the combination of the START and DELETE on the
same CONV_ID has invalidated the XRF parmlist.

Local fix

  • Include a syncpoint between the START and DELETE.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Severe error DFHIS0002 in DFHISIS *
    * followed by an AITJ abend *
    * producing two system dumps *
    ****************************************************************
A severe error in DFHISIS followed by an AITJ abend occurs
when an EXEC CICS START TRANSACTION NOCHECK command is
immediately followed by an EXEC CICS DELETEQ TS command and
both commands are targeted for the same remote system over
    IPCONN.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHISIS needs to receive a response from the EXEC CICS START
NOCHECK command in order to maintain the state of the
    conversation.
