Error description

• DSNT405I DSNTRVFY - THE NUMTCB SETTING IS NOT WITHIN THE
  RECOMMENDED RANGE OF 40 TO 25
  Above message from DSNTIJRV is issued after UI57719/PI98098 is
  applied. Error conditions are: when applenvs DB2EWLM_XML and
  DB2EWLM_GENERAL are run; for applenv DB2EWLM_XML the message
  is returned when a validation is done for: SYSPROC.XSR_ADDSCHEMA
  DOC, SYSPROC.XSR_REGISTER and SYSPROC.XSR_REMOVE; for DB2EWLM_
  GENERAL it is returned when a validation is done for SYSIBM.
  SQLCAMESSAGE, SYSIBM.SQLCOLUMNS, SYSIBM.SQLCOLPRIVILEGES, etc.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After APAR PI98098 PTF UI57721 (V11)    *
  *                      or UI57719 (V12) are applied,           *
  *                      DSNTRVFY issues message DSNT045I        *
  *                      with the wrong maximum value of         *
  *                      NUMTCB for Db2 WLM environments,        *
  *                      such as: DSNWLM_XML and                 *
  *                      DSNWLM_GENERAL, when running            *
  *                      64-bit JVM.                             *
  *                      During validation of WLM environments   *
  *                      that have a NUMTCB of 25 or greater,    *
  *                      one or more messages like the           *
  *                      following appear in the output:         *
  *                      DSNT045I DSNTRVFY - THE NUMTCB SETTING  *
  *                      IS NOT WITHIN THE RECOMMENDED RANGE     *
  *                      OF 40 TO 25.                            *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the fixing PTF for this APAR.          *
  ****************************************************************
  APAR PI98098 modified SYSPROC.DSNWLM_INSTALL_INFOJ
  to indicate the JVM type so that DSNTRVFY can determine
  whether to use 8 or 25 as the maximum NUMTCB setting when
  validating a Db2 Java WLM environment. The apar fix contains
  an error where it incorrectly updates the maximum NUMTCB of
  all WLM environments that are validated after validation of
  a Db2 Java WLM environment that runs in a 64-bit JVM. It
  should have updated only the maximum NUMTCB for the Db2 Java
  WLM environment.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR fixes the Db2 11 and 12 DSNTRVFY job so that
  DSNTRVFY can validate NUMTCB value correctly in all
  Db2 WLM environments.
