PH03397: DB2 ADMIN TOOL - SYNONYM ON VIEW IS IMPLICITLY DROPPED BUT NOT RECREATED AFTER VIEW IS RECREATED

Error description

• From panel 'GOC5', with option:
  'Allow implicit drop of excluded objects . . . . YES'
  
  There are no synonyms on source DDL. Only target exclude spec
  with synonyms was specified, i.e. SY <synname> * `
  
  When table is dropped/recreated, synonym on table is also
  implicitly dropped and recreated after table is recreated.
  Message ADB7132W is issued as expected and view has 'no
  changes', synonym on view is implicitly dropped but not
  recreated after view is recreated.

  Table will be dropped

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  1- Comparing views with synonyms and specify exclude
  specification for view synonyms on target, results in:
  
  - Views are compared and 'no changes' to view.
    View synonym is implicitly dropped because view is
    dropped/recreated due to its base table being
    dropped/recreated.
    View synonym should have been recreated since user
    specified YES for option 'Allow implicit drop of
    excluded objects' on panel GOC5 - 'Generate Compare
    Jobs'.
  - missing of view synonym change statement in changes
    file.
  
  2- Object Compare 'Summary Report' Result column and
  'Count Report' of Synonyms are not correct.

• Problems have been resolved.
