Error description

  • Due to the size of the fields used to store the statistics for
the Log Data Cache feature and the calculation used to
determine the "Overall Cache efficiency" percentage, it is
possible for an intermediate value in the calculation of the
percentage to overflow, rendering the percentage calculated to
be incorrect. The statistics fields are also too small to
reliably contain statistics for the data volumes that some
    customers may produce.

The Log Data Cache statistical fields are too small to reliably
contain statistics for the data volumes that some customers
    might produce.

Problem conclusion

  • The size for each Log Data Cache statistical field is increased
and the logic for calculating percentage metrics is changed to
avoid overflow of the intermediate value during calculation.
