PH02825: NOSUCHELEMENTEXCEPTION IS RAISED WHEN OPENING A CICS DEBUG LAUNCH CONFIGURATION IN IDZ

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz - v14.1.2,
  NoSuchElementException is raised when opening a CICS Debug
  launch configuration
  
  1- Select menu Run > Debug Configurations...
  2- Create a new Remote CICS application
  3- select a connection and indicate a DTCN port then set
  transaction=*
  loadmodule=MYLOAD
  compilation unit=*
  4- select "Synchronize and activate" and click Apply
  
  Error log shows error:
  
  java.util.NoSuchElementException
  at java.util.StringTokenizer.nextToken()
  at com.ibm.ftt.cics.debug.rest.client.
      CICSDebugRestUtil.getLocalProfileStatus()
  ...
  at com.ibm.ftt.cics.debug.ui.pages.
      CICSApplicationTabGroup.performApply()
  

Local fix

• Do not use the default "*" as compilation unit but
  specify one explicitly instead.

Problem conclusion

• The Remote CICS Application launch configuration is updated so
  that it correctly initializes when switching between
  configurations.
  
  This issue is fixed in the following products:
  IBM Debug for z Systems
  IBM Developer for z Systems
  IBM Developer for z Systems Enterprise Edition
