Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of CICS Configuration Manager. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR deals with 2 problems: * * 1. The IMPORT of a CCM-format export * * file does not process CSD LIST records * * contained in the export file. This * * problem was introduced by APAR PI98849. * * * * 2. The SCCVSAMP sample COBOL program * * CCVXZTC references copybook ZFSTPL * * which is not provided as a sample. * **************************************************************** Problem 1. A CSD LIST definition is written to a CCM-format export file. It appears within the export file as record type RESDESC, although this is displayed as LIST on the TSO/ISPF displays. RESDESC is the type code used internally by CICS CM to represent either a CSD LIST or its CICSPlex SM BAS counterpart RESDESC. When the export file is processed by the IMPORT command where the import target is a CSD based CICS Configuration then: a. If the IMPORT selects other CSD resources types in addition to CSD LISTs: - the CSD LISTs are ignored and not imported; - the other CSD resource types are imported; - if PURGE option is activated then both the CSD Lists and the other CSD resource types are purged from the export file; - the IMPORT completes RC=0 and the TSO/ISPF dialog displays the message 'Import successful'. b. If the IMPORT selects only CSD LISTs without other CSD resource types: - the CSD LISTs are ignored and not imported; - if PURGE is activated then the CSD LISTs are purged from the export file; - the IMPORT completes RC=8 RSN=0003 and the TSO/ISPF dialog displays the message 'No matches'. Problem 2. SCCVSAMP member CCVXZTC is part of a sample suite introduced for exit processing of zFS files or directories. The exit program CCVXZTC incorrectly references copybook ZFSTPL, instead of the correct reference to sample CCVXZTPL. As a result, the compile of CCVXZTC fails RC=12 with multiple undefined data-name errors.
Problem conclusion
UI56678 Problem 1. CICS Configuration Manager for z/OS is corrected. The IMPORT to a CSD will now process CSD LISTs saved within the export file as type RESDESC. Problem 2. Sample CCVXZTC is updated to reference the correct copybook sample CCVXZTPL.
