Comments

  • This is not a defect in the Cognos software. The behavior is
because the JDBC driver mysql-connector-java-5.1.46.jar is
returning NULL when the Cognos software is requesting primary
key information from it. In contrast,
    mysql-connector-java-8.0.12.jar connecting to MySQL server
8.0.11 returns the correct response. So this appears to be
caused by a defect in earlier MySQL JDBC drivers that has been
resolved in higher versions of the driver.
