APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After upgrading IBM Rational ClearCase from 9.0.1.3 to 9.0.1.4,
    the ClearCase context menus disappear from Windows Explorer.
    
    Investigation revealed that a number of registry values are not
    properly set on an upgrade install where they appear to be set
    correctly on a fresh install.
    

Local fix

  • There are 2 options:
    1) uninstall; reboot the system; remove the "rational.preserve"
    directory from the "ProgramData" directory; and reinstall
    ClearCase.
    2) create the below .reg file; import it; and reboot.
