  * YYYYMMDD (QUERY_ACCEL_OPTIONS = 7)                           *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * This new function APAR provides Db2 for                      *
  * z/OS support of using Db2 zparm                              *
  * QUERY_ACCEL_OPTIONS to specify local                         *
  * date formats DD/MM/YYYY and YYYYMMDD                         *
  * when accelerating queries to the                             *
  * IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator V7.                            *

  * Prior to this new function APAR,                             *
  * users of the scenario described above                        *
  * may encounter the following abends,                          *
  * even if the accelerated query did not                        *
  * use local date:                                              *
  *                                                              *
  * - When QUERY_ACCEL_OPTIONS = 4                               *
  * for date format DD/MM/YYYY --                                *

  IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator new function support.
  .
  The existing Db2 Installation Parameters / zparms
  QUERY_ACCEL_OPTIONS = 4 (for local date format DD/MM/YYYY)
  QUERY_ACCEL_OPTIONS = 7 (for local date format YYYYMMDD)
  are settings used to specify the local date formats when
  accelerating queries to the IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator.
  .
  However, with the new Db2 for z/OS support for IBM Db2
  Accelerator V7, when the user specified DB2 zparm
  QUERY_ACCEL_OPTIONS to specify the local date format for
  accelerating queries to the Accelerator V7, DB2z did not
  support usage of this local date specification with
  the Accelerator V7 and the folowing abends occurred:
  .
  - When QUERY_ACCEL_OPTIONS = 4 for date format DD/MM/YYYY --
  ABEND04E RC00D3440B at DSNLXGLM.DSNLXRSQ :009F
  - When QUERY_ACCEL_OPTIONS = 7 for date format YYYYMMDD --
  ABEND04E RC00D3440B at DSNLXGLM.DSNLXRSQ :00A0
  .
  These abends do not occur when using the IBM DB2 Analytics
  Accelerator V5 or earlier.

  After applying this new function APAR PTF, these abends no
  longer occur when using Accelerator V7.
