Error description

  • A value greater than the one set for VUX025/PARALLEL is used for
limiting the parallelism degree where the partition reading is
    concerned.

For example, although VUX025/PARALLEL is set to 15, the
    following message is issued:
INZU221I PARALLELISM ACTIVATED FOR PARTITION PROCESSING.
MAXIMUM DEGREE OF PARALLELISM IS SET TO 20

The message text should explain that this occurs because the
VUX005/MAXSORT value overrides the value of VUX025/PARALLEL.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been changed to fix this problem

Temporary fix

  • PI98606:
Consider setting the VUU079/EXITHLL parameter to YES (and
    regenerate and submit the INZALIAS
customization job afterwards) but take into account that leads
to an increase HPU jobs memory
consumption. If only some HPU jobs are more prone to
intermittent ABEND such as ABENDSx37 issues,
prefer altering these very jobs by running the INZUTIB2 module
    instead of INZUTILB.

    PI99711:
Set the "Use real-time statistics tables for size estimation
    (VUX036/RTSESTIM)" parameter to YES.
