Error description

  • ASYNC API commands that only exist at later CICS release
appear to work when they should be failing on earlier CICS
releases, because the EIBRESP and EIBRESP2 are both zero.

The Asynchronous API was added in CICS TS 5.4. Applications
written containing the new API will not fail when run on a
back level CICS release where the new API is unknown.
