P100931: LINUX 32BIT LIBSOAMBASE LINKS TWO VERSION OF LIBSTDC++

 

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • linux 32bit EGO lib links libstdc++.so.5 but 32bit soam lib
links libstdc++.so.6. The 32 soam lib also links 32bit ego lib,
so the libsoambase.so links two version of libstdc++

Local fix

  • Fix:
Upgrade 32bit EGO build from GCC 3.3.3 to  GCC 3.4.4

Problem summary

  • The 32-bit EGO dynamic libraries link libstdc++.so.5 which
leads the 32-bit SOAM dynamic libraries link libstdc++.so.5 and
libstdc++.so.6 at same time.

Problem conclusion

  • A formal fix is available on FC.
