Error description

  • Customer is testing remote 3174 IMLs via Netview.
    At a NETVIEW session they type in:
    CSCFIML PU=YRA011,PASSWORD=MISTEST,IMLTYPE=41,DRIVE=1
    
    They received the following message:
    BNH054I Please wait, Processing your request
    
    They see the following messages in the netlog:
    CSCF PU=YRA011
    
    DWO050E PROBLEM DEBUG: COMPONENT: PRSV MODULE: DSIPSXIT RC:N/A
    Application CSCF lost 77  bytes - lost data:

    A Netview operator issued the CSCF command to IML a remote 3174.
    After the timeout, the following message is seen in the NetView
    log;
     DWO050E PROBLEM DEBUG: COMPONENT: PRSV MODULE: DSIPSXIT RC:N/A
     Application CSCF lost 77  bytes - lost data:
     7D5A61115AD861F1F46BF16BF16BF4F1404040404040404040404040404040
    The CSCF command processor CNMS8027 was losing the input data
    if a message was posted before the input was processed.
    Problems unrelated to the reported symptom also existed with
    timeout processing and handling of errors, such as task DSIKREM
    not active.
    

Problem conclusion

  • CSCF command processor CNMS8027 was changed to correctly
    process input data when a message is posted and to properly
    handle timeouts and other errors.  Modules DSIKPSAM, DSIKPSEM,
    and DSIVOSTI were changed to move CANCEL processing to LRC(Long
    Running Command) support, move the operator input ECB into
    permanent storage, and improve dump triggering of an internal
    diagnostic method.
