OW29968: LANGUAGE CODE NOT USED ACROSS A VRTG.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A dependent LU was coded with a logmode entry which contained
  Lang=x'7F'.  When setting up a session with an application
  across a VRTG,the CINIT passed to application did not reflect
  the coding of the x'7F'.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Customer had coded LANG = X'7F' in the  *
  *                      Logmode entry defined for a SLU.  When  *
  *                      the SLU setup a session to a            *
  *                      application across a VRTG, the CINIT    *
  *                      passed to the application did not       *
  *                      contain the X'7F' in the device         *
  *                      characteristics                         *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  LANG= was coded for a SLU going into session with an application
  going across a VRTG.  The Locate sent to the PLU host
  contained the Language byte in the CV65.   The PLU did not use
  the information contained in the CV65 when building the CINIT to
  be sent to the application.
  

Problem conclusion

• Module ISTSSCZC has been changed to use the device
  characteristics it receives in the CV65 when the LU-LU session
  is across a VRTG.
