    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:   A recoverable ABEND0C4 occurred in    *
    *                      ISTSSCES due to an invalid CV82 (0282)  *
    *                      received in a LOCATE/FOUND/CDINIT.      *
    *                      The CV82 was in a CV46 of the RSCV.     *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
      When using a connection network, The OLU/PLU node received a
    Locate Found CDINIT with a bad V4682 in the RSCV. It was
    x'0282' with no DLC DATA. When ISTSSCES tried to use the DLC
    DATA to select the ALS, it ABENDED.
      In this case the configuration was:
        EN-----NNS-----EN
      OLU/PLU         DLU/SLU
    with both ENs having a connection to the Virtual Node.

Problem conclusion

  • ISTSSCNB has been changed to verify the CV4682 is long enough
    to contain DLC Data when it is parsing the RSCV. If it is not,
    sense 10010021 will be set and the Locate will be rejected.
    This will prevent ISTSSCES from being called and using the bad
    V82 data.
