APAR status

Error description

  • When using DFP Version 2.4, opt3.4 does not show space and/or
attrib information when the initial view is not VOLUME.  If it
is SPACE, ATTRIB, or TOTAL the data set list is shown but no
space and/or attrib information is shown until an ENTER key is
pressed after the data set list is shown.  This works with DFP
version 3.2 or greater.

*                      information requested.                  *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply PTF when available.                    *

When displaying a data set list using a dsname level
and a view of space or attribute or total, the list
may display with the information fields blank until
enter is pressed.

Problem conclusion

  • When obtaining information of a display, option 3.4 was
checking for a message and stopping if one was set.  A
check for an error flag has been added because a message
may be set for a non-error condition.
