APAR status

  • Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

  • APAR OA65898 made this change in release 2.5 and 3.1. But
behavior was reverted back to pre OA65898 in 3.2

The libigwznsqj.so shared library extended attribute flag for
program-control is not enabled when saved in a z/OS UNIX file.
When this attribute is set (+p) on an executable program file
(load module), it causes the program to behave as if an RDEFINE
had been done for the load module to the PROGRAM class. When
this program is brought into storage, it does not cause the
    environment to be marked dirty.

Local fix

  • Not applicable as it only impacts EzNoSQL Java users who wish to
use program control. Otherwise, PGM can be set manually with a
    command.

Users who wish to use program control may set the PGM extended
attribute manually with the following command:
    extattr +p -F BIN /usr/lib/libigwznsqj.so
