Error description

  • ABEND0C4 in IRASRSRV HBB77F0 + x'E12' due to an invalid
    PBDE_dependent_pbde pointer.
This can also result in contention for the
SRM_SA_SAMPLING_LATCH while the abend is occurring.

Apart from that, there is no adverse impact, processing
    continues.

    ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS:

    ****************************************************************
OA66064 introduced an additional condition to the code in
IRASASRV that checks if a dependent pbde can be accessed. The
parentheses around the additional condition were not correct
and this caused erroneous access to an invalid
PBDE_dependent_pbde pointer which resulted in an ABEND0C4 and
    contention for the SRM_SA_SAMPLING_LATCH.

Problem conclusion

  • IRASRSRV has been updated to add the missing parentheses around
the condition so that no erroneous access occurs if a
    PBDE_dependent_pbde pointer is invalid.
