    Configuration Manager-only bug fixes:

    (1) When KDS_TEMS_TYPE is not specified in RTEDEF,
it does not have a default value. Equivalent ways for a
parameter to be treated as unspecified in Configuration
      Manager:
      (a) placing a space in the first column
      (b) commenting it out with an asterisk
      (c) not specifying the value at all
When KDS_TEMS_TYPE is unspecified, the generated RTE is
      incorrect.
    (2) When either of the following parameters are set to the same
value as RTE_PLIB_HILEV, incorrect data sets are deleted in
      DELETE action:
      KD2_OMPE_DSHLQ
      KD2_OMPE_VSAM_DSHLQ
      RTE_PDS2_HILEV
      RTE_PDS_HILEV
    (3) In OMEGAMON for CICS security exits workflow there is a
missing DD name SYSTERM which results in the message being
      printed to KCITRACE:
      IEC130I SYSTERM DD STATEMENT MISSING
    (4) There is an incorrect base HILEV value passed to OMEGAMON
for Db2 workflow which generates OMBD* and EXBD* JCLs. The
problem can be seen when different local and target HILEVs
      are used.
    (5) TRGCOPY incorrectly creates an RTEDEF(%trg_copy%) member
when KJJ (OMEGAMON for JVM) is not installed but KGW (OMEGAMON
for CICS Transaction Gateway) is installed. The parameter
TRG_COPY_TKANJAR_PATH is commented out even though it would be
      used by KGW.
    (6) Configuration Manager requires CONFIGURE flags to be set
very early in the process, but if the flag is not set in
RTEDEF, then it does not have a default.
    (7) Configuration Manager builds a script RKANDATV(KDSDPROF).
The value in TEMS_JAVA_BINPATH= comes from two variables
GBL_HFS_JAVA_DIR1 and GBL_HFS_JAVA_DIR2. It is possible to
specify forward slashes in the path name inconsistently, which
would cause an issue in parsing the TEMS_JAVA_BINPATH.
    (8) z/OS Unix file processing workflows in DEPLOY actions have
unnecessary RC code handling statements that need a cleanup.
    (9) PDCollect, when a "pax" archive is chosen, uses a "cp"
utility to copy QA1 files to z/OS Unix filesystem which causes
some records to be indistinguishable from each other due to
the new line indicator that "cp" adds, while also stripping
      the record length data.
    (10) Minor PDCollect issues:
      (a) RKCPDEFW is assumed to always exist, but it's conditional
      (b) SDA check sets Java path incorrectly
    (11) There is a variable SFX used in workflows. However, if it
exists among static or dynamic system symbols, then some data
      sets are allocated incorrectly.
    (12) RTE_USS_RTEDIR and the local equivalent
KFJ_LOCAL_USS_RTEDIR do not support a space in the path name.
Spaces are valid symbols in the z/OS Unix path name
      specification.
    (13) Configuration Manager refers to KMC even though KMC is not
a supported agent and cannot be configured with Configuration
      Manager.

Configuration Manager and PARMGEN bug fixes:

    (14) There have been updates to KI2, KM2 and KM5 parameter
dictionaries, and their corresponding AHELP members which
enable PF1 parameter help are missing.
    (15) Kpp_AGT_ICU_LANGUAGE_LOCALE and
KDS_TEMS_ICU_LANGUAGE_LOCALE do not work as documented:
it was not possible to use the lang.ibm-nnn format as a value,
only the numeric language locale value.
    (16) KDS_PH_TEMS_NAME_NODEID is an obsolete parameter but it is
still mentioned in KDS$CFG configuration member.

Problem conclusion

  • Configuration Manager-only bug solutions:

    (1) Setting KDS_TEMS_TYPE in RTEDEF is now required in GENERATE,
when CONFIGURE_KDS_TEMS is set to "Y".
    (2) Exclude list amended to keep the following data sets from
      being deleted in error:
      XKANEXEC
      XKANHENU
      XKANWENU
      RTEDEF
      SYS1.PROCLIB
      SYS1.VTAMLIB
      SYS1.VTAMLST
    (3) SYSTERM DD added to the ASMA90 exec statement in the
      KC5JSSEC workflow.
    (4) Value that is passed was changed to refer to the target
HILEV. The generated jobs can now be run on the target system
as they refer to correct libraries.
    (5) Now both KJJ and KGW installation flags are checked to
determine if TRG_COPY_TKANJAR_PATH needs to be commented out.
    (6) All CONFIGURE flags now have defaults set to "N" in the
      workflows as early as possible.
    (7) Now we make sure that the final value TEMS_JAVA_BINPATH
does not have missing or duplicate forward slashes in its
      value.
    (8) RC codes are now handled in the standardized way.
    (9) PDCollect now writes QA1 files to z/OS Unix filesystem in
HEX PRINT format. Additionally, HEX print is converted to
ASCII and is placed in the /converted subdirectory.
    (10) (a) RKCPDEFW is first checked for existence, and only then
      collected
         (b) PATH is now constructed from both GBL_HFS_JAVA_DIR1 and
      GBL_HFS_JAVA_DIR2
    (11) SFX is now reset to either an empty value or our required
      value before it is used.
    (12) RTE_USS_RTEDIR now supports a space in the path name.
    (13) KMC code was cleaned up from the workflows.

Configuration Manager and PARMGEN bug solutions:

    (14) The following AHELP members are shipped, which would enable
      the new PF1 parameter helps:
      KI2AHELP
      KM2AHELP
      KM5AHELP
    (15) Program logic was fixed to allow both ways of specifying
      the locale in K*_ICU_LANGUAGE_LOCALE parameters.
    (16) Comments on obsolete parameter were cleaned up.
