OA68815: DEVSUP PARAMETER LRECCW_PER_EOSCP DEFAULT NOT BEING SET ON IPL

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The default for LRECCW_PER_EOSCP is x30 or 48, however on IPL
  when LRECCW_PER_EOSCP is not specified, D DEVSUP shows that it
  is set as zero:
  LRECCW_PER_EOSCP=00
  

Local fix

• Specify LRECCW_PER_EOSCP in DEVSUP parmlib member

Problem conclusion

• When LRECCW_PER_EOSCP is not specified in an active DEVSUPxx
  member and the system has been IPL'd the default value of 30
  (hex) will now be displayed when DISPLAY DEVSUP command is
  issued.
