APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When installing Host On-Demand V 15.0.3 on a Windows 11
workstation using Install Anywhere, NO shortcuts are created for
starting HOD.
Previously, with HOD V 14.0.7 installed using Installation
Manager, shortcuts were created under Host On-Demand for
starting:

Administration Utility
Certificate Management
Clients and Utilities
Code page Converter
Deployment Wizard
Information Bundler and
Information Center.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • When Admin installs Host On-Demand, it is expected to have the
shortcut for all users under the start menu of HOD Server, but
it is created only for the user who is running the install.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Code changes have been made to fix this problem. Now, Admin will
have a check box to set if shortcut needs to be created for all
the users of the machine.
