Error description
AbendD78-04 in CSVFRR2 after applying OA66032's PTFs UJ97309 for z/OS 2.5 or UJ97286 for z/OS 3.1. PE information: Users Affected: Users running HBB77D0 with OA66032's PTF UJ97309 or HBB77E0 with OA66032's PTF UJ97286. z/OS HBB77F0 is not affected, and it is OK. . User Impact: Possible ABENDD78-04 in CSVFRR2. CSVFRR2 is the second level recovery for main Contents Supervisor (CSV) or ESTAE recovery routine CSVFRR. This means that the AbendD78 occurred after a previous abend occurred in mainline Contents Supervisor processing (and CSVFRR got control). . User Action: The ABENDD78 is a secondary abend that occurred in the main CSV FRR or ESTAE recovery routine CSVFRR. CSVFRR only gets control when some abend occurred in CSV processing. If there is no abend in CSV processing, then this ABENDD78 secondary abend will not occur. This problem is only exposed when there is an initial abend in Contents Supervisor mainline processing (e.g. system processing of a LINK, LOAD, ATTACH, XCTL, etc). Such an event is not common. However, if there is such an abend, it may not be successfully retried due to the problem described by this APAR. This can lead to unpredictable impact to the requester of the Contents Supervisor service. Customers experiencing this problem should leave the PE'd PTF on their system and should arrange to put on the fix for APAR OA68303 at their earliest convenience.
