Error description

  • After a migration that performs convert to extended format,
    the dataset retains the DSNTAYPE large flag.  The conversion is
    otherwise correct, and the dataset experiences no errors in use.
    However, various file management tools and utilities will
    variously report the DSNTYPE as LARGE or EXTENDED, depending
    on their logic flow.

    After a migration that performs convert to extended format,

Problem conclusion

  • A check will be added to rename processing to turn off the
    LARGE flag when the dataset is being converted to extended
    format.
