Error description

  • CKFCOLL may issue messages CKF0028 or CKF0030 related to
    SDSNLOD2 dataset names.

    Message CKF0028 will be seen when the optional SDSNLOD2 dataset,
    with the same prefix as an existing SDSNLOAD dataset, does not
    exist, for example:
    CKF0028 08 SVC 99 RC=4 DAIRFAIL code 1708 0002
              DAIR Error/info 1708 0002 hex, Verb=ALLOC NOMNT
              Text unit key=0002 count=1 len=44
    DSNAM="DB2.PROD.SDSNLOD2             "
              Text unit key=0004 count=1 len=1 x08 STATS=SHR
              Text unit key=0055 count=1 len=8 RTDDN="        "
              Text unit key=005D count=1 len=6 RTVOL="      "
    IKJ56228I DATA SET DB2.PROD.SDSNLOD2 NOT IN CATALOG OR CATALOG
    CAN NOT BE ACCESSED

    Message CKF0030 can be seen when an alias is defined for an
    existing SDSNLOD2 dataset with the same prefix as an existing
    SDSNLOAD dataset, for example:
    CKF0030 08 OPEN abend 213-04 on device 9999 volume PROD01 for
    ALIAS.NAME.SDSNLOD2

Local fix

  • Suppress the messages by specifying CKFCOLL parameter
    SUP=(28,30)

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of zSecure Collect collecting DB2 *
    * catalog and parameter information. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: zSecure Collect might issue a *
    *                      MSGCKF0028 and/or MSGCKF0030 while      *
    *                      collecting DB2 catalog and parameter    *
    *                      information.                            *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided. *
    ****************************************************************
    When a DB2 installation does not define a SDSNLOD2 link list
    option, the zSecure Collect issues a MSGCKF0028 which begins
    with the text "SVC 99 RC=4 DAIRFAIL..." followed by a
    MSGIKJ56228I which begins with the text "DATA SET DB2
    <installation specific prefix>.SDSNLOD2 NOT IN CATALOG...".
    When a DB2 installation defines a SDSNLOD2 link list option as
    a library alias, the zSecure Collect issues a MSGCKF0030 which
    begins with the text "OPEN abend 213-04 on device...".

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Collect has been modified, so it handles a DB2 SDSNLOD2
    link list option definitions properly.
