OA67663: EZNOSQL EXCEPTION THROWN WITH RC=65535 DUE TO EMPTY VSAM DATABASE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a Connection.readGeneric() is issued on an empty VSAMDB, a
  bit is set (resultToken) to indicate that it is an empty DB in
  the ResultSet. However, when a next() is issued against the
  ResultSet to iterate to the next document in the DB, the empty
  DB condition is not checked, which causes a generic
  EzNoSQLException with a RC of 65535 and the following message:

Problem conclusion

• EzNoSQL Java will detect the presence of an empty ordered
  database and throw an IllegalStateException.
