OA67652: S0C1 IN GZDACT3 PROCESSING A PS DATASET WITH RECFM=FB,LRECL=1 ZDMF/K

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An abend S0C1 can occur when processing a DSORG=PS,RECFM=FB,
  LRECL=1 (or less than 16) with encryption.  This was a
  diagnostic trap for an unusual condition.  The abend has been
  replaced with an error message GZD4226E.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A S0C1 can occur if a file with an      *
  *                      LRECL < 16 is processed for encryption  *
  *                      and the encryption setup fails.         *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  Files with an LRECL < 16 can not be encrypted, which causes a
  failure in setting up encryption, and then an abend S0C1.
  

Problem conclusion

• When encryption setup fails, a GZD4226E message will be output.
