Error description

  • When using a provider name of at least 8 characters and an lrecl
    over 104 for OBJNAME, an extra space is added at the end of the
    provider name and the .json, causing CDA to not find it;e.g.
    
    ERROR: Could not open provider file
    </usr/lpp/dfsms/gdk/providers/DSSCLOUD .json>
    ERROR: Errno message (129): EDC5129I No such file or directory.
    

Local fix

  • 1) Use an OBJNAME that has lrecl of 104 or less.
    2) If long OBJNAME is needed, just split it multiple records
    (104 or less) using OBJNAMEX instead

    *                      blank character to the name, causing    *
    *                      RC 110 GDK_PROVIDER_OPEN_FAILURE.       *
    ****************************************************************
    GDKWRITE API returns GDK_PROVIDER_OPEN_FAILURE when using
    a provider file name at least 8 characters long.
    

Problem conclusion

  • DFSMSdfp CDA GDKUTIL has been modified to correct the problem.
